DG Charlotte Miller
District Governor Charlotte Miller has been a member of the Story City Lions Club for seven years but has been involved with Lions for twenty-one years. She has held offices in the club, zone and district and is certified to do KidSight, graduated from Great Plains Leadership Institute, has attended 13 USA/Canada Forums, is a Tissue Transport Coordinator and Secretary for the Iowa Lions Youth exchange, as well as being a host for foreign youth. She participates in the Opening Eyes for Iowa Special Olympics. She has been treasurer for the church women’s group and the Randall Fine Arts Council for several years. A Warren Coleman was awarded to her by the Story City Lions Club and her husband, Chuck, awarded her a Melvin Jones last summer. She was VDG this past year. She is a mother to eight children, a grandmother to eleven and a great-grandmother to one grandson. She enjoys quilting and crocheting as hobbies.
She grew up on a farm in mid-Iowa and still loves the country. Charlotte was in nursing as an RN for 35 years and in Iowa nursing homes in various administrative capacities. Some of her children live out of state so she can travel to see them.
